Kiewitt-Turner sponsors veterans job fair


Kiewit-Turner, in coordination with its subcontractors, will hold a free and open job fair Friday, March 23, 2012, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Aurora Professional Learning and Convention Center,  15701 E. First Ave., Aurora, CO.  

The purpose of the job fair is to provide veterans and Coloradans an opportunity to work on the new VA Replacement Medical Center Facility, which is part of the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. 

Job types needed to build the new facility include: BIM modelers, building automation technician, cable installers, CAD drafters, controls technicians, design engineers, electricians, fire alarm technicians, glassworkers, industrial workers, journeymen and apprentice glaziers, low voltage wiring technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, project administrators and managers, security systems technicians and sheet metal workers. 

Representative subcontractors hiring include: Autocon Incorporated, Axxess Connect, Bergelectric Corporation, C&B Plumbing, Cole Construction, Colorado Window Systems, Empowercon, Faith Enterprises, GCH Construction, Horizon Glass, JE Hurley Construction, Oldcastle Precast, Inc., Permasteelisa, RK Mechanical, Rocky Mountain Excavating, Inc., Rocky Mountain Prestress, Siemens, Terracon Consulting Engineers and Tusca, Inc. 

In addition to the companies hiring, representatives from Family Tree, Colorado Hire Patriots, Veterans Green Jobs and Work Initiative Now (WIN) will be on site to assist job seekers.  

There will be free Wi-Fi at the event for applicants to apply online.
