Live coverage from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station begins at 5:26 p.m. Eastern

United Launch Alliance will launch an Atlas V rocket carrying the Mobile User Objective System-1 (MUOS-1) for the United States Navy. The mission is scheduled to lift off from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, Feb. 16 at 5:46 p.m. EST.

MUOS is a next-generation narrowband tactical satellite communications system designed to significantly improve communications for U.S. forces on the move. Leveraging 3G mobile communications technology, MUOS will provide military users 10 times more communications capability over existing systems, including simultaneous voice, video and data.
