In 2015, the Colorado Legislature formed the Colorado Aerospace and Defense Caucus to support the continued expansion of aerospace and defense within the state.
The Caucus consists of state legislators that advocate for the massive impact that the space and defense industries have on the state's economy within the state, and is Chaired by:
- Sen. Nancy Todd, D-Aurora
- Sen. Bob Gardner, R-Colorado Springs
- Rep. Kim Ransom, R-Douglas County
- Rep. Donald Valdez, L-San Luis Valley
The group works to raise awareness of Colorado's role as a leading aerospace state and meets monthly during the legislative session to provide a forum for discussion and action on key aerospace topics such as space exploration, cyber, and workforce.
